Fun Day Photos December 4, 2006

Our week with the Clancy’s was certainly fun for all ages.  Rachael took some pictures of the Bucking bull, the humungous slide, the pony rides and the tiny-tots ride-on.  These were just a few of activities that were around on that day.  Lots of food and sausage sizzles and the like.

And why do we have days like this so often? Because we can!  (or if that’s not enough reason, …. because the bible tells us to have fun together)

Church in the 21st century (that is 2006) is not dead dull and boring.  It’s about having a great time with friends. That’s why people of all ages come to our church.  And the kids had a ball, the teens loved it, and the rest, they just enjoyed the day.

So to Rachael’s photos – she did a fabulous job.  Why don’t tell so too!

Fabulous Fun Fair Following fancy Clancy’s November 12, 2006

Couldn’t get it all to rhyme.  All week kids at schools have had a huge fun time.  Cathie and Brendan Clancy are awesome. [Click on the link to see who they are.] They had everyone laughing in church (is that possible? – absolutely!!!) Told some stories.  And outside was a humungous ginormous “bouncy-slide” and a huge bouncy castle along with fairyfloss, sausage sizzle and lots else to eat …. and not to forget the bucking bull. So a few photos of them today.

Cathie is a riot with the kids … and she’s infectious with fun.

Then came the kids fun fair – notice all the parents hovering around.  There were lots lots more doing that while the kids had a blast.

Poetry In Motion? November 8, 2006

I am pretty sure that Brendan and Cathie CLANCY have heard every one of the jokes about the Clancys’ of the Overflow. [Kids, just ask mum or dad about that poem. The guy who wrote it was only 25 at the time he made it up.]

Anyway, don’t think these Clancy’s played the banjo but I know for sure that this couple were an absolute sensation today with the kids at the primary schools. Games! Stories! Fun! Laughter! Music! Songs! Did we ever think they wouldn’t be great? Course not. They are really musical too!

And tomorrow with be the same. After school Thursday will be so much fun you won’t want to leave. And Sunday. Well. It’s not called a FUN FAIR for nothing.

Sunday 12th November. there’s going to be a mega bouncy castle, a bucking bull for the bravehearted, a chairo plane, fairyfloss the young ones, and lots lots more.

 

Even better they will be here FOR SOME AFTER SCHOOL FUN Thursday 9th November … 4pm to 5:30pm.
